Bonjour!
This is a few days later up than I hoped, I’ve been so busy since I’ve been home and VERY tired!
I had an amazing time in Cannes! The only downer on the weekend was the unlikely weather! Saturday was ok but on Sunday it was like a tropical rainstorm coming down and I really hadn’t packed for the conditions. I did read that it would rain before I came away but was too excited while packing my wedges and dresses, that I stupidly just decided to turn a blind eye to it! Wishful thinking certainly didn’t pay off this time
On Saturday I had some time away from the festival to explore Cannes, so I did a little shopping, ate macaroons for lunch and went on a tour bus to made sure I saw it ALL!
I spent ages drooling over the delicious cakes, macaroons and chocolate everywhere! They had Nutella macaroons at one shop I went to (I’m pretty crazy when it comes to nutella) and they were divine! I sadly haven’t stopped thinking about them since I got home so am going to try and make my own later this week! Yum yum….
I stuck to eating clean as well I could while I was there and had some tasty meals, when i’m out or away ordering food by just following simple rules like no dressing and stick to lots of veggies you can usually get a decent healthy meal anywhere!
A lot of the stores had really got in to the spirit of the film festival by decorating their window displays in old style Hollywood theme or places directors chairs and other props around the clothes. It made for such a great atmosphere throughout the city with everyone getting involved.

There were so many quirky art shops full of unqiue pieces and furniture, I loved the legs on this table, they're like Dorothy's shoes in The Wizard of Oz!
In all the hustle, bustle and glamour of the festival I found a small church hidden away behind all the luxurious hotels. I took ten minutes to reflect on my life and to appreciate how lucky I am to travel to such a beautiful and exciting place, I also lit a candle for my family while I was there. When you’re travelling it’s easy to get carried away in the moment but don’t forget to stop and take it all in, wherever you are.
I was a little disappointed at the amount of pictures I could take of myself while I was there but it certainly wasn’t ‘cool’ to pull out the camera most of the places I was in the day or at the evening parties!
I kept my workouts up as well I could while I was there, I did soooo much walking everyday though I swear I ended up doing more! I made up my own circuit training routines in the hotel every morning, and repeated them to make up a half hour of cardio. It can be even harder to find the motivation when you’re away to work out but I always felt great afterwards and that’s what I keep in mind

Cannes was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I can’t wait to visit again for longer! Have you ever been to Cannes?! If so, let me know what you loved about it the most!
xo
