Hey everyone!
Sorry I’ve not updated too much recently! I’ve been super busy and with the sunshine finally coming out for summer, I’ve been trying making the most of it while it lasts
A couple of weeks ago I decided to sign up for my first Spartan Race after seeing footage of a mud run obstacle course they were doing on The Biggest Loser, Australia, and I wanting to try something similar for myself!

Posing like studs before setting off…
I didn’t really do any major training for it, just tried to eat super duper clean and squeeze in some more strengthening work in prep for the obstacles. My brothers car broke down on the way to the race (things like that always happen at THE worst times, do they not?!) so I was worried we wouldn’t be able to run but luckily, we managed to get there in time.
I psyched myself up with my favourite J Cole songs because as I’ve mentioned before, I like to pretend I’m gangster when I workout

While stood with all the chanting, testosterone fueled males acting like beasts and then reading a warning sign for an electrical fence obstacle as I was walking to the start line, I began to wonder what I’d let myself in for!
Luckily once I got running the adreline kicked in and I powered through the race.

It was definitely harder than I thought it would be, I found the running in between was a chance for me to catch my breath, as my cardio is by far stronger than my strength. I was so proud of myself for everything I overcame and achieved during the race, crawling through dark muddy tunnels with barbed wire, shimmying through ice pits trying to avoid getting electrocuted and jumping through fire wasn’t how I imagined it but I’m glad I’ve proven to myself than I’m one tough cookie!

I’ll post the professional pics that were taken on me racing when they get posted and a picture of my medal when I get it in the post! Do something to take yourself out of your comfort zone with fitness and your workouts, keep setting new challenges and prove to yourself you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it!

Feeling very pleased with myself while resting after the race… In other words, smug
Oh and one last thing! Don’t forget to enter my competition to win a copy of Jillian Michael’s Ripped in 30 DVD!!!
